Job Description

 Job Summary:
 

You will prepare and review sales and use tax returns. This will include a monthly review of sales tax data and use tax accruals to verify their validity, e-filing returns, processing tax payments, and account reconciliations.

Job Duties

  • Assist in completing assigned tax audits while representing the interest of the business to state and local taxing authorities to      ensure the minimization of audit deficiencies.
  • Assist in determination of sales/use tax taxability of transactions including assistance to domestic business units regarding tax issues.
  • Identity and assist with implementation of tax planning opportunities, process efficiencies, quality improvements, and risk minimization strategies.
  • Monitor current and proposed state tax laws and regulations to identify and assess the impact on ACN.
  • Work on incentive projects including aggregating and calculating relevant data.
  • Will be part of a project team obtaining credits & incentives and ensuring compliance to monetize optimal incentive results.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of an indirect tax compliance software solution.
  • Knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations.
  • Familiarity with U.S federal, state and local reporting requirements.
  • Strong ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks.
  • Workday Experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Effective time management skills and multi-tasking abilities.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business or closely related discipline required.
  • 3+ years of indirect tax-related experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office and strong Excel skills.

Working Environment

As a condition of your employment with ACN, Inc, you will be required to work onsite at our Charlotte, NC office. When considering this position, please be aware that you will be expected to perform your duties at our physical location as outlined in your offer of employment, We understand circumstances may require temporary remote work arrangements and exceptions may be granted on a case-by-case basis. However, it’s essential for candidates to understand that the standard expectations is to work onsite. 


Office schedule is Mon-Fri, between the hours of 8 A.M to 5 P.M

The position may require occasional travel for continuing education, training or support.
